FAQs

Wood batten panels are very easy to install and most people can assemble the panels themselves. If you know how to use a saw and screwdriver, then you should also be able to fit the panels yourself. Some of our customers prefer to hire a professional to help them install the panels. Since the product is easy to use, any professional can help you install the panels, even if they are not yet familiar with the product. We recommend contacting your local carpenter or similar if you require assistance with installation. You can also check out our installation instructions and videos - you can find them here

Yes, it's super easy. The wooden slats can be cut with any saw (we recommend a circular saw), and if you need to cut the panel at the felt, you can use a craft knife. Nothing's easier !

The type of screws you need depends on the type of wall the panels are to be mounted on. In some cases, wall anchors are required to make the installation last. You need to find screws that are compatible with the material of your wall. Typically we recommend black screws, as they will be invisible against the black felt.

You can easily mount the panels directly to a surface - you don't necessarily need to lay them on cleats. If you suffer from poor acoustics, we recommend that you mount them on 45mm battens, put 45mm mineral wool between the battens and lay the panels on top. You will obtain better acoustic performance with this method.

You can mount the acoustic panels on any surfaces, including brick and concrete walls, etc. You can either glue them to the wall or use screws. See the installation guide for instructions on how to install the panels

Yes, it is possible to mount the panels with glue – it is a slightly more permanent solution than with screws. Since it is a strong adhesive that you must use, the wall may be damaged if the panels ever need to be removed.

We do not recommend using Wood Vibe Panels in rooms where they are likely to come into direct contact with liquids, as the wood can be damaged by humidity and water.

There are 2 possibilities, if you have switches or electrical sockets on a wall, one solution is to cut a hole in the panels and install the sockets on the surface of the wooden strip panels. The other solution is to leave the socket or switch in the initial location, this solution is easier to carry out, but the disadvantage is that the button or socket must remain set back from the surface of the cleats.

Yes, you can bend the panels around curves. The felt is made from recycled plastic and is very flexible, allowing you to bend the panels around curved corners. You can find examples on our Instagram page – here
